This card (10.5 x 14 cm) is a reproduction of an original painting in arylics of a glowing coal fire.
I was inspired to do several paintings of fireplaces and hearths this winter because so many of us are struggling in this cost of living crisis and are not able to keep our homes very warm.
So I painted fireplaces as a focal point for a cold room, and to cheer the home upa bit.
Following on from that I made it into a greetings card as people had commented on them and wanted to share the love!!
In 2009, my family and I saved a Highland Bull from being killed by the Country Park in Cambridgeshire where he lived with his herd.
The amazing Hillside Animal Sanctuary took him in when we had secured his release, and he has lived at their sanctuary in Norfolk ever since.
Fergus costs them a lot of money, and so we will donate 10% of the profit from the sale of this item to Hillside to support their wonderful work.
