I thought artgannet was a funny, accessible name for a shop selling art to people with an insatiable appetite for art! (I can't take credit for the idea!)
My own experience of gannets was seeing them diving for fish when I went to Islay, an island in the Hebrides when I was seven.
I was absolutely mesmerised by the unbelievable speed with which they hit the water
I have printed this as a landscape card, and I cropped the image tightly, omitting the end of the beak as thought it emphasised the graphic nature of the bird's colours and features, and also seemed too static somehow, when I included the whole neck and beak.
These are C6 cards, ie opens up to A5, if you see what I mean! But the front image is approx 10 x 15 cm. Supplied with an envelope
Each card is hand-printed and painted so your card will be similar to but not identical to the one in the photo.
Please allow time for your order to be printed, painted, packed and posted as most items are created to order.
May be sent in recycled packaging
In 2009, my family and I saved a Highland Bull from being killed by the Country Park in Cambrdgeshire where he lived with his herd.
The amazing Hillside Animal Sanctuary took him in when we had secured his release, and he has lived at their sanctuary in Norfolk ever since.
Fergus costs them a lot of money, and so we will donate 10% of the profit from the sale of this item to Hillside to support their wonderful work.
